The Human Resources Generalist manages the daytoday operations of the Human Resource office and the administration of human resources policies procedures and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee and labor relations employment employee records performance management recognition programs HR compliance recognition interactive process coordination and training and development.
1. Provides routine policy and Collective Bargaining Agreement interpretations as needed. Assures that company employment labor relations and equal opportunity policies and practices comply with the applicable provision of federal and state laws including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) the Americans. With Disabilities Act (ADA) the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) the Department of Labor worker compensation the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and others. Assist in the research planning developing and implementing of new policies and procedures.
2. Manages the full cycle recruitment process for exempt and nonexempt employees. Coach managers on candidate selection; determines salary make job offers conducts orientation and conduct and analyze exit interviews. Maintains I9 reporting and ensures timeliness of notification(s) reverification and/or other appropriate action.
3. Assists HR Leadership with employee complaints and employee relations investigations as assigned. Serves as the point person for any escalated or sensitive transactions. Assist managers in identifying options articulating advantages/disadvantages and/or risks of each and
facilitating a sound decision. Makes recommendations to manager(s)
regarding progressive discipline matters and termination procedures.
4. Working with the HR Coordinator responsible for ensuring that employee records are audited and maintained. Prepares reports of HR data as needed. Manages the License and Certification process to ensure that all required credentials are received and/or renewed timely. Makes appropriate notifications to the employee and leadership when required actions need to be taken. Performs assessments to ensure that the department is meeting the Joint Commission Elements of Performance for Human Resources. May be responsible for entering HR data into the system as needed.
SKILLS:
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Effective oral and written communication along with excellent interpersonal organizational and coaching skills. Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
