Roles and responsibilities
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director with over 15+ years of expertise in managing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, specifically in the oil and gas industry. Experience with Saudi Aramco and ADNOC projects is a significant advantage.
The ideal candidate will have led teams of engineers specializing in metering skids, flow measurement devices, flow computers, Analyzers and field instrumentation. The Project Director will take full ownership of projects, including profit and loss responsibilities, and ensure effective stakeholder communication, on-time project delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple projects, ensuring effective collaboration and communication between all stakeholders.
- Oversee the execution of EPC projects, focusing on metering skids, flow measurement devices, flow computers, and instrumentation calibrations, including replacements and configurations.
- Full accountability for the financial success of projects, including budget management, cost control, and timely submission of invoices to customers.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to manage project procurement efficiently, negotiating with vendors to secure quality resources at competitive prices.
- Identify opportunities for change orders in the customer’s requirements and ensure that the company’s interests are upheld.
- Provide creative and effective technical solutions to meet project goals while overcoming budget constraints.
- Ensure adherence to the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and compliance with industry standards.
- Plan and allocate project human resources, develop project teams, and oversee Human Resource Development (HRD).
- Ensure visibility and accuracy in tracking project man-hours, progress management, and timely reporting of project status.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by managing expectations and delivering projects in alignment with customer requirements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field); Master’s Degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in project management within the EPC sector.
- Proven experience in Saudi Aramco and ADNOC projects.
- Expertise in Project Management related to flow measurement devices, flow computers, metering skids, and field instrumentation.
- Significant experience in leading teams for metering skids, flow measurement devices, flow computers, and instrumentation calibrations.
- Proven track record of successful project execution for Saudi Aramco and ADNOC.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with full financial responsibility (profit & loss).
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and project procurement processes.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Expert knowledge of project planning, scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation in the EPC industry.
- Strong experience in managing the full lifecycle of EPC projects, from conceptual design to final delivery.
- Proficient in managing project budgets, cost control, and handling profit & loss responsibilities.
- Hands-on experience with project procurement, supplier negotiations, and vendor relationship management.
- Proficiency in handling change orders, ensuring project scope flexibility, and maximizing company interests.
Soft Skills:
- Proven ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Creative and proactive in developing technical solutions to project challenges.
- Strong negotiation skills, especially in procurement and contract management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
