OPEN SHIFT: 6:30PM6:30am Friday Saturday and Sunday Required Certifications: Associatedegree or equivalent from accredited program in radiologic technology.Certification and licensed through IEMA and ARRT required. JobSummary: Administers ionizing radiation to patients producingdiagnostic radiographs. Operates xray equipment prepares patient exam roomequipment supplies and medications. Performs technical and ancillary tasksnecessary to provide patient services per departmental and hospital policy. DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES: E Exceeds the Standard M Meetsthe Standard NI NeedsImprovement Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas: E M NI Prepares exam room equipment accessories and materials as needed for various exams. 2 1 0 Prepares and administers barium mixtures and other contrast agents for procedures as required. 2 1 0 Prepares patients for examination explains procedures assists patients on and off exam table positions patients for exam. 2 1 0 Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures according to department policies and utilizing accepted techniques for patient positioning exposure control and radiation protection. 2 1 0 Observe and critique radiographs utilizing appropriate equipment. 2 1 0 Monitors patient s condition during exam and reports unusual occurrences to supervisor. 2 1 0 Performs portable diagnostic radiographic procedures as required. 2 1 0 Adheres to radiation safety procedures. 2 1 0 Oncall for 3rd shift/holidays/weekends as scheduled. 2 1 0 Maintains cleanliness of patient exam rooms and other work areas. 2 1 0 Keeps examination room stocked with necessary supplies and accessories. 2 1 0 Performs patient reception registration requisition processing and filing in absence of in conjunction with ancillary staff. 2 1 0 Other duties assigned. 2 1 0 Completes annual educational requirements. Attends inservices and meetings when required. 2 1 0 Adheres to dress code appearance is neat and clean. 2 1 0 Maintains current knowledge of ethical business practices and hospital policies and adheres to all policies. 2 1 0 Adheres to all HIPAA and DHHS privacy and security regulations. 2 1 0 Reports to work on time and as scheduled completes work within designated time. 2 1 0 Wears identification while on duty uses computerized punch time system correctly. 2 1 0 Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner. 2 1 0 Support CMH on the continuous culture improvement journey aimed at improving customer satisfaction and employee relations. 2 1 0 Accountability to provide service excellence to our patients and coworkers. 2 1 0 Total Points Goals for the coming year: Regulatory Requirements: Associates degree or equivalent from accreditedprogram in radiologic technology. Skills: Ability to respond to common inquiresor complaints from customers regulatory agencies or members of the businesscommunity. Ability to add subtract multiply anddivide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions anddecimals.. Ability to solve practical problems anddeal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limitedstandardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnishedin written oral diagram or schedule form. License or Certificate Required: Certification and licensed through IEMAand ARRT required.
