Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to nonrepetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules boards panels drawers frames and cables.
- Work from visual aids method layouts diagrams schematics process flow sheets and written or verbal assembly instructions.
- Set initial layouts use hand and/or power tools jigs and saws. Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed.
- Conduct quality inspections on processing line per quality specifications.
- May disassemble modify rework reassemble and test experimental or prototype assemblies according to specifications.
Production Support Career Stream:
- Provide support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers including assembly machinery processing packaging and/or distribution of company products.
- May set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines in a continuous production operation.
- Report machine malfunctions recommending adjustments to methods or processes.
- May be involved in shipping receiving inventory control or storage of products.
