Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of cuttingedge passenger information systems for the public transport industry. With its head office based in the UK the company boasts a comprehensive product development and manufacturing process. They also have a strong international presence with subsidiaries across Europe North America (including a dedicated manufacturing facility) and Australasia as well as an extensive network of global partners.
This is an exciting time for growth and innovation within the company and they are looking to expand their market share in the Benelux region. As such they are seeking a talented Account Manager to help drive sales and foster relationships with key stakeholders in the industry. Ideally the successful candidate will be based in The Netherlands or Belgium (Flanders) and will work remotely from a home office.
A competitive salary package is available depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage key sales activities in the Benelux region engaging with major bus operators bus builders and system integrators.
- Grow sales by winning new customers and promoting new products as they become available.
- Build and maintain relationships with local public transport authorities (PTAs).
- Collaborate with colleagues in the UK to manage project implementations in Benelux.
- Stay informed of local public transport trends and regulations relating to passenger information systems.
- Travel throughout the Benelux region to promote sell and support products to new and existing customers.
- Conduct sales visits product demonstrations and handle sales inquiries.
- Assist with technical support customer training and basic troubleshooting when required.
- Occasional travel to the UK for meetings and training at the head office and factory.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience and knowledge of the bus industries in Belgium The Netherlands and Luxembourg.
- Previous experience in sales or customer management.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage well with customers and partners.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
- IT proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Highly organized selfmotivated and capable of managing workloads effectively.
Desired Skills (but not mandatory):
- Wellestablished contacts within the national bus industries particularly with major bus operators.
- Basic understanding of electronics and onvehicle electrical systems (troubleshooting software/hardware) with experience in serial and Ethernet communications or ITxPT networks being a plus.
- Additional language skills beyond those listed above.
