Manager is located in California. However she is completely open to any time zone as this person will be working with colleagues across the U.S. As this person will be required to travel to tradeshows across the country regularly ideally they would be centrally located maybe Texas Chicago Denver near a big airport.

Running independently or working with larger teams and being a member
Taking more of lead for planning and execution of shows
Travel anywhere in the US San Diego LA Dallas Vegas Chicago NYC Orlando centrally located might be a good idea for easier travel.
Someone eager and comfortable with a lot of travel
Occasionally 2 shows a month lasting a couple days.
Chicago and Atlanta do have offices if they live local.
Familiarity with Salesforce would be a plus. To connect events to sales team. Will be trained in Salesforce if no experience.
Understanding connecting a brand to a trade show. Client has strong guidelines that need to be followed.
Having branding would be an asset.
Dont have to be industry specific. Need trade show experience and gathering leads. Project Management any sort of complex trade show with stake holders involved.
During Holidays normally do not do trade shows.
February through June are the busiest time for shows then again September thru October
Initial phone interview and then final group interview
Have used Survey Monkey and MS forms of doing analysis.
Limited on Marketing collaterals.
May need to physically set up booths for smaller events.
Once or twice traveling over the weekend
Advanced notice given on when traveling needed.
Some flexibility since do speak to people in Germany not standard.

Responsibilities:
This role will be part of a team of Marketing Communications (Marcom) professionals supporting several Client businesses across the United States. The primary responsibility of this role will be to lead the processes and strategy for executing tradeshows and events for Smart Infrastructure in the U.S. in collaboration with Marcom and business counterparts. The role will be executing various Marketing Communications activities including but not limited to creation of marketing collateral website and sales enablement resources. This includes but is not limited to:
Managing the annual tradeshow and events calendar
Manage and refine tradeshow and events processes
Develop tradeshow strategy based on business objectives and defining KPIs
Plan and execute assigned tradeshows and events throughout the year independently
Manage tradeshow budgets
Collaborate with external tradeshow vendors/suppliers
Manage tradeshow leads within our Salesforce database
Using surveys and lead analysis evaluate the effectiveness of tradeshows and events and recommend any needed improvements
Determine the effectiveness of marketing materials from the tradeshows resulting in ROI measure
Create all types of marketing collateral
Required travel:
Traveling would be required to support any of our shows nationally all around the United States to set up and tear down tradeshow booths and manage events. Depending on how many shows/events it could be once a month or even more than once a month.
Travel expenses are paid for by Client for this (airline ticket rental car hotel food ).
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in journalism marketing communications or a related field
5 years experience managing all aspects of tradeshows and events
Exceptional project management skills
Team player
Highly motivated
Good communicator
Ability to work across a matrix organization
Strong written and verbal communication skills
