Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SOC 1 Audit Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial auditing and compliance specifically related to SOC 1 audits. You will play a crucial role in assessing and improving our internal controls and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct SOC 1 Audits:
   • Plan execute and finalize SOC 1 audits for various clients.
   • Evaluate internal controls relevant to financial reporting and assess the effectiveness of those controls.
2. Financial Analysis:
   • Analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
   • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to improve operational efficiency.
3. Collaboration:
   • Work closely with clients to gather necessary documentation and data for audits.
   • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including finance operations and IT to ensure comprehensive audit coverage.
4. Reporting:
   • Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings and areas for improvement.
   • Communicate audit results to management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
   • Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry standards affecting SOC 1 audits and financial reporting.
   • Ensure that the audit processes align with applicable laws and best practices.
6. Continuous Improvement:
   • Identify opportunities for improving internal controls and processes.
   • Assist in the development of training materials and workshops for staff regarding SOC 1 compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g. CPA CISA CIA) is highly preferred.
• Minimum of X years of experience in auditing with a focus on SOC 1 or financial audits.
• Strong understanding of financial statements internal controls and auditing standards.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in audit software and tools.
