Job Description
Our client a leader in life sciences and diagnostics is looking for a Global Project Manager based out of Santa Clara CA.
Duration: Long Term Contract(Possibility Of Further Extension)
The Project Management team works as part of the Portfolio and Project Management function to help each customer area track and manage their portfolio from a strategic vantage point. Plays a key role in optimized product delivery accountable for all the project management aspects of various projects from simple to complex in nature. Takes project/product from the original concept through completion. Develops and directs detailed work plans schedules project estimates spending resource planning and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for the definition and implementation of project risk mitigating measures. Reports project goals (e.g. KPI) to enable teams and functions to measure and improve quality efficiency and effectiveness. Recommends and takes action to analyze and find solutions to problems.
Responsibilities:
- Sets up & implements project/program/product structures for product development & product care activities including communication management timelines resource and budget plans progress and cost control
- Creates coordinates and maintains integrated project plans including dependencies resources and budgets allowing the teams to work efficiently and effectively
- Consistently executes project management processes including guiding and managing preparation for milestone reviews capacity reviews (cQCR SCR & fQCR) etc. as applicable & may lead improvement initiatives
- Selects project methodology and applies Agile methods as appropriate including coaching and guiding teams in project methodology including agile practices
- Follows best practices in project/product teams and fosters continuous improvement by sharing best practices and knowledge among peers
- Manages meetings and may manage knowledge sharing between project/product teams and subchapters to enhance project effectiveness and optimized delivery
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor s degree in science engineering or businessrelated fields; higher level degree & PMP Certification highly preferred
- Minimum 8 years project management experience in the diagnostic medical device pharmaceutical or biotech industry leading complex new product development and product care projects
- Experience with Agile development practices and mindsets is a plus
- Experience in a regulated industry (e.g. FDA 21 CFR part 820 ISO 13485 ISO 9001)
- Demonstrated experience in project management with a proven track record of effectively managing multiple projects / priorities simultaneously
- 10% travel involved
