Job Description
Position: DayCare Cook/Floater
Company: Fresh Start Learning Academy
Contract Details: PartTime or FullTime
Fresh Start is seeking a highly motivated and experienced DayCare Cook/Floater to join our team. In this role you will play a crucial role in providing nutritious and delicious meals to the children in our care as well as assisting in other areas of the daycare as needed.
Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children in accordance with dietary guidelines and allergies
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen following all health and safety regulations
Order and manage inventory of food and kitchen supplies
Assist in serving meals and snacks to children ensuring proper portion sizes and dietary restrictions are followed
Clean and sanitize dishes utensils and kitchen surfaces after each use
Assist in other areas of the daycare such as supervising children during playtime or helping with classroom activities as needed
Communicate with parents and caregivers about menu plans and any dietary restrictions or concerns
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a food service or cooking role preferably in a daycare or school setting
Knowledge of nutrition and dietary guidelines for children
Ability to follow recipes and adapt them to meet dietary restrictions
Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Must pass a background check and have uptodate immunizations
