About the Role:
Were on the hunt for a dedicated Area Manager to join the hive on behalf of our clients. In this role youll oversee multiple aircraft repair shop facilities ensuring operational excellence and quality standards are met for all maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) activities. Youll also take on a leadership role managing budgets maintaining staffing and enhancing client relationships all while supporting a qualityfocused culture in a dynamic aviation environment.
Your Mission:
- Oversee daily operations of repair shop facilities ensuring work on aircraft components meets specified standards including Part 145 and OEM requirements.
- Foster a quality culture implementing corrective actions from compliance monitoring.
- Quote and estimate repair work for customers while seeking local sales and service opportunities.
- Manage operational budgets achieve KPIs and ensure adherence to cost controls.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels through hiring performance management and staff training.
- Ensure availability of tools machinery and adequate spare parts for optimal operation.
- Maintain accurate training records and ensure staff meet regulatory approval standards.
- Collaborate with leadership HQ and the MRO organization to streamline operations.
Core Competencies:
- Quality Management: Expertise in implementing and maintaining highquality standards in MRO environments.
- Operational Excellence: Strong track record in achieving KPIs managing budgets and optimizing resources.
- Leadership & Staff Development: Proven experience in team management recruitment and staff training.
- Customer & Vendor Relations: Strong business acumen with a focus on building positive relationships with customers and suppliers.
What You Bring:
- Tradebased qualification tertiary business studies or aviation qualification (such as A&P License).
- 35 years of practical experience in MRO or a related field.
- 3 years of supervisory experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work independently while aligning with group goals.
- Proven skills in relationshipbuilding staff performance management and regulatory compliance.
Skills Required:
- Solid understanding of employee relations laws and workplace safety regulations.
- Experience with recruitment performance management and employee relations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills with a focus on resilience and problemsolving.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high operational standards.
Certifications:
- Tradebased or aviationrelated qualifications such as A&P License (preferred).
Education:
- Tradebased qualification or tertiary business studies preferred.
