Job Description
ERP Savvy is seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with a strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mainframe development and a deep understanding of NLP techniques and applications.
Key Responsibilities:

Mainframe Development:
- Design code test and debug mainframe software applications using languages such as COBOL JCL DB2 and CICS.
- Maintain and enhance existing mainframe applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to understand and analyze project requirements.

NLP Integration:
- Develop and implement NLP algorithms and models to process and analyze large volumes of text data.
- Integrate NLP solutions into mainframe applications to enhance data processing capabilities.
- Work with data scientists and machine learning engineers to deploy NLP models on mainframe systems.

System Performance and Optimization:
- Perform performance tuning of mainframe systems and applications.
- Provide solutions and recommendations for improving system performance and efficiency.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures for mainframe systems.

Documentation and Support:
- Maintain documentation of system modifications and developments.
- Provide support and maintenance for existing mainframe applications.
- Train and assist less experienced team members or users.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mainframe development.
- Strong knowledge of NLP techniques and tools (e.g. NLTK spaCy BERT).
- Experience with mainframe programming languages (COBOL JCL DB2 CICS).
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Skills:
- Proficiency in mainframe development and NLP.
- Ability to design and implement efficient algorithms.
- Strong understanding of data structures and software architecture.
- Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
