Mainframe Developer NLP experienced

ERP Savvy is seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with a strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mainframe development and a deep understanding of NLP techniques and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mainframe Development:

   • Design code test and debug mainframe software applications using languages such as COBOL JCL DB2 and CICS.
   • Maintain and enhance existing mainframe applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
   • Collaborate with project managers and business analysts to understand and analyze project requirements.

2. NLP Integration:

   • Develop and implement NLP algorithms and models to process and analyze large volumes of text data.
   • Integrate NLP solutions into mainframe applications to enhance data processing capabilities.
   • Work with data scientists and machine learning engineers to deploy NLP models on mainframe systems.

3. System Performance and Optimization:

   • Perform performance tuning of mainframe systems and applications.
   • Provide solutions and recommendations for improving system performance and efficiency.
   • Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures for mainframe systems.

4. Documentation and Support:

   • Maintain documentation of system modifications and developments.
   • Provide support and maintenance for existing mainframe applications.
   • Train and assist less experienced team members or users.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mainframe development.
• Strong knowledge of NLP techniques and tools (e.g. NLTK spaCy BERT).
• Experience with mainframe programming languages (COBOL JCL DB2 CICS).
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Skills:

• Proficiency in mainframe development and NLP.
• Ability to design and implement efficient algorithms.
• Strong understanding of data structures and software architecture.
• Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
