With an average length of stay of 4 days on the Wings and 9 days in Acute patient diagnosis range from pneumonia chronic obstructive pulmonary disease congestive heart failure COVID19 and pulmonary embolism to complex cases requiring nursing skills for oxygen therapy intravenous medications moderate sedation monitoring during bronchoscopies chest tubes tracheostomies postoperative care noninvasive ventilation mechanical ventilation in addition to cardiac monitoring. We have a medsurg noncovid wing of 10 beds an 8 bed progressive care noncovid wing (IMC trained) a 10 bed C wing and a 10 bed D wing for noncovid and covid patients dependent on volume and census. Our C/D wing have capacity for double beds to flex up to a 41 bed unit dependent on our COVID volume. IMC travelers would work in both the IMC/MS unit. MS travelers in MedSurg unit only.
