Job Title

AWS Migration Infrastructure Engineer

remote

Initial 6 months contract

The client in Canada is offering a remote opportunity.

Role snapshot:

Responsibilities:

  • Migrate and test migrating significant ControlM jobs (PowerShell OS procedures and SQL scripts for Oracle and other databases) from Azure and AWS EC2 to AWS Step Functions AWS Batch and Lambda
  • Provision AWS infrastructure using Terraform IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop observability capability for execution monitoring.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless migration and zerodowntime deployment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve migrationrelated issues.
  • Document migration processes and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in cloud migration projects specifically Step Functions Batch & Systems Manager for AWS.
  • Strong knowledge in Azure and AWS.
  • Proficiency in Terraform IaC GitHub platform for source code management and git branching pattern
  • Experience in GitHub Actions for CICD.
  • Experience in PowerShell SQL etc based scheduled / cron jobs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Certified DevOps Engineer)
