Job Description

Our client The Jilly Box was founded in 2019 by Jillian Harris and her business partner Tyler Evans. The Jilly Box is a curated quarterly lifestyle subscription box filled with products loved by Jillian Harris and Team Jilly Box. Their team is passionate about supporting small ecofriendly diverse and crueltyfree brands from across North America. Each box contains various brands that range from home decor fashion bath beauty health and wellness all while keeping seasonality top of mind! Oftentimes you can find a custom item or two within The Jilly Box that has been designed exclusively by Jillian and Team Jilly Box.

The Jilly Box has an exciting opportunity for a temporary fulltime Product Specialist (18months) to join their Kelowna BC based team. As the successful candidate you will be required to work out of their Kelowna office a minimum of 1 day a week; the remainder of the week you can work from your home office. Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will support the product sourcing process with your strong communication and organizational skills to build on the success of The Jilly Box brand with a focus on small North American ecofriendly sustainable culturally diverse and crueltyfree brands! This role is ideal for a dynamic individual with a strong understanding of procurement in the product space. Relocation is required if you don t currently live within commuting distance of their Kelowna BC office.

What you will be doing:
  • Support the product sourcing process across all categories;
  • Communicate and resolve sample and bulk QC issues with suppliers;
  • Flag sample QC issues to the warehouse;
  • Confirm and share product details and pricing for internal use throughout all departments;
  • Assist with product education to various departments each season to ensure they are informed about upcoming products;
  • Ensure packaging is wellthought out to align with our values and waste reduction;
  • Lead supplier communications regarding product customization sampling process management and production timelines;
  • Maintain a high standard of product integrity throughout the procurement process;
  • Create spec sheets for products packaging;
  • Maintain internal size measurement references for apparel;
  • Ensure accuracy of all Product details/inserts for instructional use;
  • Liaise with graphic designer to ensure product packaging design and product design deadlines are met;
  • Measure apparel items to check if it matches supplier size specs;
  • Ensure samples are ready for photoshoots and in the office;
  • Take ownership of all products at sized shoots;
  • Act as key member onset for sized photoshoots;
  • Organize and order photoshoot samples;
  • Liaise with suppliers to understand details of the development process for each product and inform the product team of such learnings.

What you bring:
  • Ideally you have 3 years of experience in a procurement product development space within the direct to consumer retail merchandising or subscription box space;
  • Experience working with various ecommerce platforms and vendors;
  • Technical development experience is an asset;
  • Experience with Fit Model Process/Tryons is an asset;
  • An eye for detail and a high standard for quality;
  • Experience with Google Workspace;
  • Dedicated to learning applying championing and communicating The Jilly Box s core values;
  • Thorough knowledge and proven experience in product development;
  • Experience establishing and sustaining collaborative working relationships and partnerships with various stakeholders;
  • Work effectively independently and as part of a team;
  • Are comfortable with tight deadlines;
  • Strong problemsolving abilities.

This exciting fulltime 18month contract role offers a salary of $60000$65000/year based on experience.
