Job Description
Job Title: Cath Lab Technician
Location: Newton NJ
Contract Duration: 12 Weeks
Job Description We are currently seeking a qualified Cath Lab Technician for a 12week contract assignment on behalf of our client. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiac catheterizations pacemaker insertions and interventional radiology procedures. Responsibilities include patient preparation hemodynamic monitoring assisting physicians during procedures and participating in oncall duties. Required qualifications include licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist RCIS certification (preferred) and recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation: Get patients ready for cardiac catheterizations and other procedures like pacemaker insertions and interventional radiology.
- Monitoring: Track and document hemodynamic data (blood flow and pressure).
- Assistance: Help the physician during procedures and manage the access site.
- OnCall Protocol: Be available for oncall duties as needed specifically for STEMI at client location.
Required Skills and Certifications:
- Licenses: Must be a licensed Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT).
- Certifications: RCIS (preferred) BLS ACLS and IABP experience.
- Experience: Must have direct and current experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
Education:
- Minimum Requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
