We are seeking a highly motivated and resultsdriven Merchant Acquisition Executive to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for identifying engaging and onboarding new merchants to utilize our product/service helping them enhance their business by leveraging our solutions. The ideal candidate should be experienced in sales with a strong understanding of merchant needs digital payment systems and/or marketing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and Acquire Merchants: Proactively identify potential merchant partners and engage with them to promote and sell our product/service offerings.
- Build Relationships: Develop strong relationships with potential merchants by understanding their business needs and demonstrating how our solutions can help them grow.
- Conduct Presentations and Demos: Present and provide detailed demonstrations of our product/service showcasing its features benefits and the value it offers to the merchant.
- Negotiate Contracts: Close deals with merchants ensuring that the terms of engagement are favorable for both parties and handle contract negotiations and agreements.
- Meet Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets for acquiring new merchants.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends competitor products and merchant needs to adjust strategies for maximum effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with internal teams including marketing and product to optimize the merchant acquisition process and provide feedback on merchant needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Proven experience in sales business development or merchant acquisition (preferably in POS systems SaaS or fintech).
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal negotiation and presentation skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of merchant operations and needs particularly in digital payments POS systems or marketing software.
- ProblemSolving: Ability to understand merchant challenges and offer tailored solutions.
- SelfMotivated: Driven to meet and exceed targets with minimal supervision.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient with CRM systems sales tools and MS Office Suite.
- Education: A bachelors degree in business marketing or a related field is preferred.
