Job Description
Our client is in the process of Implementing Epicor Prophet 21 and is growing. Great opportunity for someone looking to move up in their career or join a company with upward growth.
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with expertise in Prophet 21 (P21) and strong skills in managing financial operations such as inventory management accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). The ideal candidate will also possess a CPA license and have a proven track record in managing accounting functions within a dynamic business environment. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is a plus. This position offers a hybrid work schedule allowing flexibility while maintaining collaboration with the team in Austin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daytoday accounting operations including general ledger management financial reporting and monthend/yearend close.
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
- Administer and optimize the company’s Prophet 21 (P21) system for accounting and financial processes.
- Supervise inventory management accounting practices and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Coordinate and manage audits both internal and external ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Work crossfunctionally with operations and procurement teams to ensure alignment in financial and inventory reporting.
- Prepare and present financial statements forecasts and budgets to senior management.
- Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiencies and internal controls.
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) (if applicable) to complement existing accounting practices.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Prophet 21 (P21) system.
- 5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on inventory management AP and AR.
- Proficiency in GAAP compliance and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software systems; Great Plains experience is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Excellent organizational problemsolving and leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate crossfunctionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a distribution manufacturing or wholesale environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
- CPA License is not reguired but highly recommended.
