VP of Engineering

Ubitium aims to become the ubiquitous computing element everywhere! We are developing a universal RISCV microprocessor that will replace conventional processors and will change computing as we know it. As Ubitiums first VP of Engineering youll play a key role in leading their engineering efforts. Your mission will be to hire manage and grow an engineering team driving the development of their new cuttingedge microprocessor and ensuring that they properly map out and achieve key milestones to achieve their goal.

Tasks

In this role you will:

• Lead and Inspire: Youll manage and grow our engineering team providing leadership and motivation to ensure toptier performance.
• Manage: Oversee all aspects of the chip development process from tracking deliverables and milestones to ensuring timely execution.
• Guide: Take a handson role in guiding the design and development of complex digital logic chips bringing your expertise in microprocessor tapeouts to the table.
• Mitigate risks: Work with the team to identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.
• Grow and develop your team: Take the lead on hiring and developing a talented team of engineers managing performance while keeping morale high.

Were looking for someone special a driven handson leader who knows how to get things done and isnt afraid to roll up their sleeves to solve problems. To be considered for the role you should be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of computer architecture and the chip design workflow and be passionate about our mission to change the world.

Qualifications & Experience

• Microprocessor TapeOut Experience: Youve worked on complex digital logic chip tapeouts (ideally within the past 12 months) and have experience with IP selection and integration.
• Process Node Expertise: Youve got handson experience with 12nm or smaller process nodes (TSCM Samsung) and youre familiar with cuttingedge technology like 7nm or even 5nm.
• Computer Architecture Mastery: You have a deep understanding of computer architecture EDA tools and workflows.
• Leadership and People Skills: Youre a natural leader who knows how to manage projects motivate teams and deliver results.
• Fluency in English: This is a must! (Bonus points if you know German but its not required).
• ProblemSolver: Youre handson and ready to dive in whenever the need arises. Youve got a get things done attitude and you thrive in a fastpaced startup environment.
