Under general supervision analyzes customer business needs and participates in the planning design and implementation of new or enhanced systems.
The Instructional Designer is responsible for developing innovative instructional programs and materials that align with organizational goals and learner needs. This role requires a blend of instructional design expertise creativity and strong communication skills to create engaging and effective learning experiences. The Instructional Designer will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of training content. Local candidates preferred. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough Training Needs Assessments and Audience Analyses to identify learning objectives and performance gaps training participants and delivery channels.
- Design and develop comprehensive 508compliant instructional materials including course summary sheets learning objectives course outlines storyboards video scripts job aids quick reference sheets and other supporting documents for training deliverables.
- Create online interactive training materials in various formats such as printable job aids instructorled (virtual and inperson) microlearning videos and eLearning courses.
- Generate program interactive SCORMcompliant webinars microlearning and fulllength eLearning courses in eLearning authoring tools (e.g. Adobe Captivate Camtasia Articulate Storyline)
- Develop and administer a variety of assessments including quizzes tests simulations and practical exercises to measure learner progress and comprehension. Analyze assessment data to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs identify areas for improvement and make datadriven recommendations for enhancing learning outcomes.
- Accurately track and document the progress of instructional design projects ensuring milestones and deadlines are met. Utilize project management tools to monitor timelines resource allocation and deliverables and provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of development efforts.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure the accuracy and relevancy of learning materials. Work closely with stakeholders including leadership teams and learners to understand learning needs and objectives ensuring that training programs align with organizational goals and learner requirements.
- Periodically review and update curriculum and existing training content to ensure accuracy relevancy and alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and adult learning theory.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in Instructional Design Education Training and Development or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word PowerPoint Excel).
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline Adobe Captivate Camtasia).
- Experience with SCORMcompliant course development and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Strong understanding of 508compliance requirements and best practices for creating accessible learning materials.
- Expertise in designing and developing comprehensive instructional materials including course summary sheets learning objectives course outlines storyboards video scripts job aids quick reference sheets and other supporting documents.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a hybrid work schedule role is a hybrid position requiring inoffice presence at least twice a week with additional onsite time as needed based on rolespecific and agency requirements.

Preferred Education Experience & Skills
- Successful implementation of largescale ERP transition to Workday solution.
- Master s degree in Instructional Design Education or a related field.
- Knowledge of gamification techniques and how to apply them to enhance learner engagement and motivation.
- Experience in creating multimedia content including graphics animations and interactive elements using tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator After Effects).
