Job Description

We offer fun activities and developmental learning opportunities for children while they are in Village Care. Your job as an Assistant Teacher is to assist the Lead Teacher and help children transition from one part of the day to the next while being a patient positive role model. We are seeking handson motivated assistant teachers who truly love spending time with early learners.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Lead Teacher in leading preplanned activities and supervise children during Open Play times.
  • Respond to children s daily needs with flexibility patience and nurturing.
  • Change diapers for younger children assist with snacks and lunch as needed.
  • Supervise nap times and be able to keep the class rhythm flowing.
  • Help prepare the classroom and materials for the upcoming day s activities.


Requirements

  • 12 years of experience

  • Experience leading group activities and working oneonone with children ages 3m2y

  • Current CPR FirstAid Certification or willingness to become certified

  • Record of uptodate immunizations and ability to pass a background check

  • Excellent attitude and proactive approach to work

Bachelor s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education or Associate s Degree in a related field with 1-2 years of experience or 2 years Lead Experience. Experience leading group activities and working one-on-one with children ages 3m-PreK Current CPR + First-Aid Certification or willingness to become certified Record of up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass a background check Excellent attitude and proactive approach to work
