Are you passionate about promoting healthy living and building a stronger community The La Crosse Area Family Y is looking for an enthusiastic Lifestyle Program Director to lead our National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP). In this role you will manage the program supervise Lifestyle Coaches and build partnerships with public health and healthcare providers to raise awareness and grow participation. If you are committed to making a positive impact through wellness initiatives and social responsibility we want you on our team! This position is parttime (up to 30 hours) with the potential to go fulltime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP) at the Y.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and public health organizations to increase program referrals.
- Recruit train and supervise Lifestyle Coaches for program delivery.
- Manage and monitor participant data using Well d software ensuring compliance with the Y standards.
- Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of professionalism.
- Lead the Lifestyle Program as a coach.
- Foster a positive motivating environment for participants and staff.
Requirements
- A bachelor s degree in health wellness public health or a related field is preferred.
- Certification as a Lifestyle Coach (or willingness to obtain certification).
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain).
- Experience managing staff and facilitating small group programs.
- Background in wellness nutrition or chronic disease prevention preferred.
- Strong communication interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with the National Diabetes Prevention Program is a plus.
