Job Description

Northwest Talent Solutions is a leading Technology Finance and Healthcare staffing/recruiting and HR/DEI consulting firm partnering with outstanding clients within the private industry and public sector. Currently we are partnered with a preferred client in western Kentucky in search of a highly talented Director of Womens Services.

Job Summary:

The Director of Womens Services directs activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives for the Womens Services department at a 107bed hospital. This leader will oversee patient care delivery staffing budgeting and quality control while fostering professional growth and evidencebased practices.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement departmental goals plans and standards
  • Direct and evaluate departmental operations including patient care delivery and service levels
  • Plan and monitor staffing activities including hiring evaluating and disciplinary actions
  • Prepare monitor and evaluate departmental budgets
  • Coordinate and direct internal/external audits
  • Create an environment that encourages professional growth
  • Integrate evidencebased practices into operations and clinical protocols
  • Act as a resource for staff regarding obstetrical and neonate concerns

Qualifications:

I. Education:

  • Associates Degree required
  • Bachelors Degree preferred

II. Experience:

  • Prior experience in womens health/obstetrics nursing leadership
  • Experience with budgeting and staff management

III. License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current Registered Nurse license for Kentucky required
  • AWHONN Certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification required

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in obstetrical and neonatal care practices
  • Budget management experience
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and quality standards
