Job Description
Job Title: Medical Assistant (Nursing)
Location: Geneva NY 14456
Shift Type: MF 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team specializing in womens health. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fastpaced environment possess strong communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Record patient histories vital signs and other relevant information in electronic health records (EHR).
- Utilize EPIC software for patient management and documentation.
- Prepare patients for examinations including explaining procedures and answering questions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical office and examination rooms.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
- Schedule patient appointments and followup visits.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient patient flow and highquality care.
- Perform basic lab tests and assist with patient education regarding health and wellness.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferably in a womens health setting.
- Proficiency in EPIC or similar EHR systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
- Dependable punctual and able to work independently.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
