Job Description
Position: GCP GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) Engineer
Location: Phoenix AZ
Duration: Contract
Rate: $60 per hour
Client : Amex
Are you a GCP expert who thrives on solving complex challenges Impetus Technologies needs your GKE logging monitoring and Terraform skills to enhance our cloud infrastructure. If youre a strong troubleshooter with scripting experience and a knack for managing largescale systems join our team.
What you have:
- Strong troubleshooting and anomaly detection experience using GCP Logging and Monitoring.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Shell.
- Experience with InfrastructureasCode (IaC) using Terraform.
- Experience with Git GitHub JavaScript and Regular Expressions (RegEx).
- Knowledge of largescale distributed systems architecture and experience with both Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems.
- Solid understanding of cloud concepts related to storage computing and networking.
- Experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation and runbooks.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and detect anomalies by searching logs utilizing strong GCP Logging and Monitoring knowledge.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions on GCP.
- Automate GCP operations using scripting languages like Python Shell and GCP SDKs or APIs.
- Work with configuration management and InfrastructureasCode (IaC) tools particularly Terraform to manage cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Google Cloud Build Source Repositories and Container Registry for automated code deployment.
- Administer and manage GCP databases such as BigTable Cloud SQL and Cloud Spanner.
- Work with containers orchestrating them using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) including cluster management and deployment strategies.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement application deployment strategies that utilize GCP services like App Engine Cloud Functions and Cloud Run.
- Optimize GCP costs and resource usage by providing cost estimates and reports and implementing costsaving strategies.
- Maintain technical documentation runbooks and ensure best practices in system configuration and deployment.
