Job Description:
This role supports programs and projects related to corporate change initiatives impacting how UPS conducts business provides services or executes functions. Key responsibilities include assisting department managers with critical change initiatives and effectively communicating influencing and negotiating across various levels to obtain or leverage necessary resources. You will be responsible for delivering regulatory and executive materials ensuring results align with program strategy simplification and new capabilities.
As a Project Manager/Business Analyst you will work on the Operations Change and Transformation team within Global Markets. Your main purpose will be to partner with business and support teams to prioritize sponsor and implement diverse change initiatives driven by business legal regulatory compliance or market requirements.
The change portfolio will include a mix of strategic discretionary and mandated initiatives focusing on improving client experience supporting revenue growth reducing operating costs enhancing processing efficiency/control and delivering new products and services. The involvement of the Change & Transformation team in projects will vary based on the ownership nature scale and complexity of each initiative.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in defining program controls processes procedures reporting cadence decision governance structures and ways of working with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with project sponsors crossfunctional teams and assigned project managers to develop scope deliverables resources work plan budget and timelines for new change initiatives.
- Support task execution by tracking program milestones developing plans and measuring progress against key performance indicators.
- Analyze and evaluate program risks producing reports for managers and stakeholders.
- Identify key requirements for crossfunctional teams and external vendors to align with program objectives.
- Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects leading negotiations for efficient resolutions.
- Provide transparency into project issues and decisions build positive relationships ask questions and use tools to uncover root causes of challenges identify opportunities and make recommendations.
Required Skills:
- Significant experience in project/change management.
- Background in global markets/regulatory projects (advantageous).
- Strong business partnering skills with individuals across the organization.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic fastpaced environment.
- Business analysis experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work meet deadlines and work independently.
- Experience with DAIC and Agile methodologies.
Desired Skills:
- Educated to degree level.
- Project management experience in Financial Services especially Investment Banking.
- Knowledge of structured project management methods (e.g. PRINCE2 Microsoft Solutions Framework).
- Familiarity with structured business analysis techniques (e.g. 6 Sigma).
- Product knowledge in global markets specifically SEC Lending and REPO.
