Introduction:

Join our team at Central Moloney as a Power Winder High Voltage. You will play an essential role in the manufacturing process for highvoltage electrical transformers by performing precise winding of copper/aluminum coils. Your commitment to accuracy safety and quality will ensure that our transformers meet the highest performance standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed and accurate winding of copper/aluminum wire for high voltage transformer coils following engineering specifications.
  • Set up and operate power winding machines adjusting tension speed and feed rates for precision winding.
  • Inspect materials and completed coils to ensure they meet quality control standards and highvoltage insulation requirements.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and winding issues ensuring minimal downtime and product defects.
  • Perform regular maintenance on winding machines ensuring optimal operation and reducing machine downtime.
  • Adhere to highvoltage safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
  • Accurately complete production logs quality reports and other documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet deadlines and resolve technical challenges.

Additional Skills/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 23 years of experience in coil winding for highvoltage transformers or similar manufacturing.
  • Ability to operate winding machines and related equipment with precision.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical drawings and instructions.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and problemsolving related to winding machines.
  • Familiarity with highvoltage safety protocols is a must.
  • Certification or training in highvoltage equipment handling is preferred.
  • Comfortable with physically demanding tasks and manufacturing conditions.
  • Background check Drug & Physical Screening required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Lifting: Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise high temperatures and environmental stressors.
  • Physical Activities: Sit stand walk bend climb crouch reach and grasp as required.
  • PPE: Wear required PPE including eye and hearing protection gloves and safety toe footwear.
  • Dexterity and Vision: Must possess manual dexterity and specific vision abilities including close distance and depth perception.
  • Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts.
  • Safety: Strict adherence to safety protocols and addressing any workplace hazards.
