Manufacturing Maintenance Manager
Company Overview:
A leading manufacturer specializing in precision Aerospace components is seeking a Maintenance Manager. This role will oversee the maintenance operations for three locations in the greater Western Chicago area using advanced CNC milling and CBN grinding technology.
Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Maintenance Manager will lead a small team of maintenance technicians ensuring all machinery and equipment operate efficiently with minimal downtime. The role involves overseeing the installation troubleshooting repair and preventive maintenance of machinery and electrical systems across the three sites. You will also be responsible for creating and implementing maintenance schedules and strategies to optimize production uptime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily maintenance tasks schedules and largescale capital projects.
- Minimize production downtime by providing immediate support to operations teams.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Read and interpret technical manuals equipment schematics and diagrams for troubleshooting.
- Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts to minimize downtime.
- Implement and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Train and mentor maintenance technicians to build a highperformance team.
- Propose improvements to equipment and production processes to enhance performance.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure highquality services and cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety regulations.
- Manage the maintenance budget ensuring costeffective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience leading a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in industrial electrical systems controls mechanical systems pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Demonstrated success in maintenance management including Lean Manufacturing principles and workforce development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook).
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment schematics and technical manuals.
