Adelphi is seeking a Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW) to provide services at a law enforcement facility in Mt. Pleasant Michigan. The LBSW will be responsible for delivering social work services to community members in collaboration with the facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the criminal justice system and must hold a valid Michigan LBSW license.

Requirements:
A bachelors degree in social work
Valid Michigan (MI) LBSW license
Valid driver license and a safe driving record
Preferred skills and experience:
Strong knowledge of the criminal justice system and modern legal terminology particularly related to victim rights.
Familiarity with community programs resources and social services to provide appropriate referrals and support.
Expertise in effective intervention techniques and the ability to introduce appropriate solutions for clients.
Proficiency in producing professionalquality reports and correspondence.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite and experience with Records Management Systems (RMS).
Excellent multitasking attention to detail and problemsolving abilities.
Strong customer relations skills with proven experience in deescalation techniques.
Responsibilities:
Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals facing mental health issues substance use disorders or who are victims of crime.
Facilitate connections to community resources social services and mental health programs to meet specific needs.
Keep accurate confidential case records including initial assessments progress updates and final outcomes ensuring all documentation is completed on time.
Build positive relationships with the community to encourage collaboration participating in outreach initiatives to address social issues and promote wellbeing.
Work closely with the facility to address the needs of vulnerable populations responding to crisis calls related to mental health and behavioral concerns.
Provide expert consultation and training to law enforcement officers on crisis intervention deescalation conflict resolution and traumainformed practices.
Engage in public education initiatives for citizens in the community.
Conduct preassessments of individuals involved in law enforcement incidents to identify risks and plan appropriate interventions.
Advocate with policymakers to enhance or develop social services and programs to improve community support systems.
