Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our innovative team in Belgium. As a Senior Data Engineer you will play a critical role in designing building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures to support advanced analytics and datadriven decisionmaking. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure data integrity scalability and performance across a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Architecture & Pipeline Development: Design develop and optimize data pipelines ETL processes and data warehousing solutions to meet business needs.
- Data Modeling: Create and manage complex data models to support analytical and operational reporting needs.
- Big Data Solutions: Implement big data technologies such as Hadoop Spark and Kafka to handle largescale datasets and enable advanced analytics.
- Cloud Integration: Build and manage data architectures on cloud platforms (AWS Azure or Google Cloud) ensuring scalability and security.
- Data Quality & Governance: Establish and enforce data quality standards governance policies and best practices across all data platforms.
- Performance Tuning: Continuously monitor and improve the performance of data systems and applications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers fostering a collaborative and growthoriented environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Data Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience in data engineering with a proven track record of building and managing largescale data architectures.
- Strong expertise in ETL processes data warehousing and data pipeline development.
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MongoDB Cassandra).
- Experience working with big data frameworks (Hadoop Spark Kafka).
- Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Strong programming skills in Python Java or Scala.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Docker Kubernetes Terraform) for automating data workflows.
- 5 years of experience in data engineering with a proven track record of building and managing largescale data architectures.
- Skills:
- Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to work on complex data challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Bonus Skills:
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau Power BI or Looker.
- Knowledge of machine learning pipelines and MLOps practices.
