Job Description

Position: Field Care Supervisor

Responsible to: Registered Manager

Hours: 37 Variable hours

You may be required to work additional hours as required by the needs of the business.


Hours of work: Between the hours of 07:00 22:00

0.5hr lunch break per day (unpaid)


On call duties: 1 week on / 1 week off:

Weekdays: 5pm 10.30pm Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday

7am 9am Friday

Weekends: 5pm Friday 9am Monday


Rate of Pay: 14.50 per hour



Requirements

Job Summary: The Field Care Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of highquality care to our clients in the community. This hybrid role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively split their time between fieldwork and office duties. The Field Supervisor will oversee the performance and wellbeing of our care staff ensure compliance with care plans and maintain strong relationships with clients their families and other stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

FieldBased Duties (50%) and OfficeBased Duties (50%). The percentage split will vary to suit the needs of the business


  • Provide any care cover required in accordance with your weekly rota.
  • Conduct regular visits to client homes to monitor the quality of care being provided.
  • Perform spot checks audits and assessments to ensure compliance with care plans company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Provide onthespot support and guidance to care staff addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Ensure that all care documentation is accurate uptodate and reflective of clients needs.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families acting as a point of contact for any queries or concerns.
  • Facilitate staff training and development in the field ensuring that care workers are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Provide emergency care cover when required.
  • Provide out of hours emergency cover during the week and on alternate weekends.
  • Coordinate and schedule care staff assignments ensuring optimal coverage and continuity of care.
  • Conduct performance reviews provide feedback and identify training needs for care workers.
  • Compile reports on care quality staff performance and client satisfaction presenting findings to senior management.
  • Work collaboratively with the operations and care coordination team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Attend regular meetings both internal and external representing the company in a professional manner.
  • On call duties to include answering and dealing with any emergency calls outside of office hours. Make a record of each call and action taken.
  • Mentoring new staff
  • Undertake quality assessments.
  • Undertake service user assessments and reviews

Transfer daily on call notes to IT SU files

Produce and distribute monthly Bradcare MAR s

Produce general MAR charts as instructed by Manager

Deal with MAR / Medication queries

Complete purchase requisition forms as necessary

Emergency Plan

Produce care plans

Update IT notes as applicable

Produce Additional Info Care Plan documents

Produce Falls Plans

Produce Medication Plans

Produce Moving and Handling Plans if required

Care plan amendments

Maintain key safe list

Investigate complaints when requested by Manager

Provide Energy meter readings when required

Photocopier issues and changing of toner etc.

Mars Audit investigations.

Answering the telephone and conveying messages

Maintain confidential and accurate records.

Arrange appointments as required

Record daily medication errors

Communicate with GP Surgeries District Nurses Social Services etc

Assist and support manager as required.

Participate in any required training for the position.

Ensure confidentiality at all times

Adhere to Bradcare policies and procedures

This role requires a degree of flexibility

Weekend working on call and some morning and evening shifts are required due to the nature of the business and roster is set by the manager of the services to ensure duties and tasks are distributed fairly amongst the team.
