- Physical Therapist PT is to assist in planning organizing developing and implementing Physical Therapy services in accordance with current applicable federal state and local standards guidelines and regulations and as may be directed by the Director of Rehabilitation and/or the Administrator to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times
- Physical Therapist must possess the ability to plan develop organize evaluate and implement the programs goals objectives policies and procedures etc. of the physical therapy program to help residents obtain/maintain their highest level of physical mental and social wellbeing.
- Physical Therapist will Interpret and/or instruct in physical therapy policies and procedure to personnel residents family members etc. as necessary.
- Physical Therapist will participate in discharge planning development and implementation of resident care plans resident assessments (MDS) etc. as necessary
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants as outlined by the State Physical Therapy Practice Act.
- Maintain treatment records resident files and progress notes as required and maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents
Requirements:
- Must possess a current license and registration to practice as a Physical Therapist PT in the State of NY.
- Must possess current malpractice insurance license in good standing
- Dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care as a Physical Therapist PT
- Energetic enthusiastic committed & passionate about quality care
- Genuinely interested in helping ill injured disabled elderly emotionally upset & sometimes challenging residents
- Patience a cheerful disposition & willingness to assist any residents & coworkers
- Excellent communication customer service & organization skills
- Trusted to work independently & in a team environment
- Able to work well under pressure flexible & will work harmoniously with all staff
