In this role, you will oversee the Engineering department, ensuring the smooth operation of all hotel facilities, including fire and life safety systems. Your responsibilities will include planning and managing preventative maintenance, as well as handling new projects, extensions, and renovations. Additionally, you will play a key role in preparing the Engineering budget for the hotel and contributing your engineering expertise to both the strategic and operational plans of the property.
You will be tasked with monitoring energy consumption throughout the hotel, implementing initiatives to promote energy conservation, and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements. Your ability to analyze energy usage patterns will be critical in driving sustainability efforts and reducing operational costs.
To qualify for this position, a college degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar role. Familiarity with the operations and priorities of various hotel departments is essential, as you will need to collaborate effectively with different teams to ensure that engineering functions align with overall hotel operations.
You should also possess a solid understanding of local government regulations and requirements to ensure compliance in all engineering activities.
