Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed sales cost estimates for a wide range of home designs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company pricing guidelines.
• Assess architectural plans and specifications to provide clear and comprehensive cost breakdowns for clients and the sales team.
• Liaise with the Sales and Drafting teams to provide costs for variations, upgrades, and custom requests during the pre-contract phase.
• Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and ensure cost-effective solutions are applied to all projects.
• Assist the Sales team in producing accurate pricing for client proposals and promotions, ensuring that estimates meet both client needs and internal margin requirements.
• Maintain and update pricing databases and estimating software to reflect current costs, supplier agreements, and material changes.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of costing systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy across the estimating function.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Sales or Production Estimator in residential construction, preferably with a volume builder.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction processes, building materials, and industry regulations.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as Databuild, Buildsoft, or similar tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy in all work.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to provide cost-efficient solutions.
• A positive and proactive attitude, with a strong focus on customer service.
