Automation-Focused QA Tester

Job Summary:

Position is based in Boston MA or Woodbridge NJ with no relocation being provided.
The hiring process involves one internal video screen one video interview with the client and a final inperson interview with the client.
Contract length of 6 months or more.
Candidates must disclose their place of residence for commute evaluation.
Experience in Home and/or Auto insurance is mandatory.
Role involves developing and executing software test cases based on project requirements and technical designs.
Responsibility to automate testing processes manage test data and ensure software quality and readiness for release.
The tester collaborates closely with developers and project teams supporting test planning and execution.
Test case development and execution should align with project scope and delivery timelines.
Test schedules and strategies are to be planned with documentation of test cases results and defects using MicroFocus Quality Center/ALM.
Test data creation and management are part of the role including data for automated scripts.
Regular communication of project quality and release readiness through standard reporting templates.
Providing feedback to developers on software usability and functionality is expected.
Support during the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase by sharing test information and creating test data using automated processes.
Candidates should have 35 years of experience in software testing or Property & Casualty Insurance.
Proficiency with Quality Center/ALM for test case and defect management is required.
Candidates should have experience with SQL and XML for data testing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary with the ability to work independently or within a team.
Candidates should have a process improvement mindset and the ability to drive quality initiatives.
