Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Accountant with Dutch and French language expert who would work hand in hand with the global Finance and Operations team. As an accountant you will be responsible for managing daytoday accounting and tax needs making sure that financial records are accurate and uptodate compliant with Belgian GAAP VAT and fiscal laws. You would also help the company in preparing quarterly and yearly financial reports and analysis.
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred OR Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) with relevant experience may also be considered. Professional degree in accounting
Experience:
5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Record to Report (R2R) accounting operations or a related field .
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of R2R specialists providing coaching mentorship and performance feedback.
- R2R Process Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the R2R process including balance sheet reconciliations monthend closing preparation of financial statements consolidation activities and bookkeeping.
- Fixed Assets & Intercompany: Manage fixed assets accounting intercompany transactions and treasury operations.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to accounting standards (e.g. Ind AS US GAAP) and internal controls for all R2R activities.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed reports on R2R activities and performance metrics. Analyze financial data to identify trends discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.
- Risk Management: Manage risks associated with accounting operations and ensure effective resolution of complex accounting issues.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g. sales operations finance) to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Industry Best Practices: Stay up to date on industry best practices and regulatory changes impacting R2R processes.
- Skills & Qualifications:
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of motivating coaching and developing a highperforming team.
- Technical Expertise: Indepth understanding of R2R processes including balance sheet reconciliations monthend closing financial statement preparation consolidation fixed assets intercompany and treasury.
- Accounting Standards: Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and relevant standards (e.g. Ind AS US GAAP).
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with strong decisionmaking abilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel) and accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle).
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
