Job Description
Job Title: Job Captain (Fulltime & Directhire)
Location: New York
We are seeking a highly motivated Job Captain to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a wellorganized detailoriented individual who excels in team collaboration and has strong AutoCAD skills. As a Job Captain you will play a crucial role in the production and coordination of School Construction Authority (SCA) projects working closely with Project Managers and overseeing drafters to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and develop construction documents in alignment with project goals.
- Tackle technically challenging issues supporting the Project Manager.
- Perform comprehensive code and zoning analyses.
- Review and redline drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee and guide drafters based on the projects needs.
- Produce deliverables independently without requiring constant supervision.
- Coordinate meetings with consultants and facilitate collaboration.
- Organize and lead site visits and surveys to assess project conditions.
- Conduct material research and meet with vendors to evaluate materials and products.
- Take initiative to complete tasks and contribute proactively to project success.
- Bachelors Degree in Architecture.
- 3 years of experience working in an architectural firm preferably on Educational or Retail projects.
- Proficiency in Revit AutoCAD and other applicable industry software.
- General understanding of building codes zoning regulations and construction processes.
- Strong knowledge of building details and project execution.
- A positive driven attitude with a focus on delivering successful project outcomes.
