Job Description
Job Title: Surgical Technologist (Allied)
Location: Utica NY 13502
Pay Rate: $50/hr
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Guaranteed Hours: 40
Shift: 10hr Day
Overview:
Assist surgeons during operations by preparing the operating room ensuring the sterility of instruments and passing equipment during procedures.
Description / Comment :
- Surgical Tech
- MUST HAVE SCRUB EXPERIENCE
- MUST HAVE TRAUMA EXPERIENCE
- 75 MILE RADIUS RULE
- Shift: 71730
- 40 hours
- oncall 1 day per week once a month on call weekends
- OT after 48
- 2 years experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Surgical Tech certification NBSTSA or NCCT (or grandfathered based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment.
- Assist in surgical procedures by handing instruments to surgeons.
- Ensure all surgical tools are sterilized and properly arranged.
- Help in postsurgical care and equipment organization.
Skills:
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques.
- Strong teamwork and communication.
- Ability to work under pressure.
