Job Description
The Director of Patient Relationship Products provides strategic direction while managing large multimilliondollar projects/programs launching Patient Services (PS) pipeline products/programs and managing their life cycle. Responsible for all operational aspects of the business system development process quality assurance and quality control. This individual provides leadership and coordinates business system ownership for Patient Services integrating the efforts of multiple stakeholders and is responsible for managing the capacity strategy product/program assurance and cost reduction initiatives across the network.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and lead multiple matrixed crossfunctional teams responsible for all operational aspects of business system process development implementation quality assurance and quality control spanning complex multimilliondollar programs managing strategy execution and budget.
- Lead team of business system product owners who manage the product development process from start to finish to ensure a product meets customer needs and expectations. These responsibilities span from defining the product vision using market research customer/stakeholder needs and the organizations longterm goals to managing the product backlog to tracking and socializing performance and success measurements.
- Drive a strong collaborative partnership with internal (especially BTS) and external developers designers marketers and quality assurance team members to ensure the product is delivered on time and within budget.
- Implement new systems and features new indications new presentations and lifecycle projects for on market programs on time and within budget.
- Provide strategic direction and lead execution of the development deployment and continuous improvement of patient relationship management systems used across all Patient Services programs. Establish metrics and strategies aligned to organizational goals and assign process ownership roles and responsibilities to enable a team of business system owners to meet system and process goals.
- Establish program strategy and timelines defining technical and regulatory requirements to support regulatory approvals.
- Manage competing timelines and make difficult decisions regarding priorities among projects.
- Accountable for acting as the D to provide strategic direction for relevant programs. This includes making and advising business system owners in following agile methodologies such as realtime decisions during development iterations and accepting or rejecting results based on acceptance criteria.
- Proactively identify and drive technical and project planrelated issues to closure by working with all relevant functional lines and effectively troubleshooting and driving decisions.
- Understand project drivers requirements scenarios and options. Proactively drive the development of contingency and/or risk mitigation plans. Accountable for ensuring programs are robust from a technical compliance and business perspective.
- Effectively communicate and present product roadmaps strategies and project status to senior management and stakeholders
- Accountable for setting and achieving program and project plans including timelines and expenses which meet business and organizational objectives and ensuring those plans are achieved. Define budget requirements and report monthly actuals LBE and Plan/LRP schedules per financial schedule.
- Drive accountability of business system owners creating and maintaining a list of features and requirements that align with the product vision and goals prioritizing backlog items based on business value and customer needs and refining the backlog based on feedback and changing business needs
- Track industry trends address production issues during sprints and schedule and lead meetings to identify issues and fixes for projects.
- Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required.
Qualifications
- A bachelors degree in business engineering or closely related discipline or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence and an MBA is preferred.
- 18 years of combined experience in positions related to process development project management engineering/process support and change management.
- Must have strong knowledge of technical development and pharmaceutical regulations.
- Must have demonstrated organizational and planning skills while managing multiple large complex programs in the pharmaceutical industry
- Must have demonstrated strong project management skills with successful delivery of projects. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively with minimal to no supervision.
- Must be able to effectively facilitate the resolution of complex scientific technical analytical and business issues across functional lines.
- Experience with Salesforce in the life sciences or healthcare industry and an understanding of the Salesforce suite of products and offerings
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence crossfunctional senior and executive management.
