Our client is a creative ad agency in Sri Lanka committed to helping brands tell their stories through engaging and impactful content. We are seeking a talented and detailoriented Content Writer with a passion for crafting compelling copy and a flair for creativity. If you have a knack for words and want to work on exciting projects for a diverse range of clients this is the role for you!
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in copywriting and proofreading preferably in an advertising or creative agency.
- Proven ability to interpret creative briefs and develop innovative content concepts.
- Exceptional writing editing and research skills with strong attention to detail in English/Sinhala.
- Familiarity with standard style guides (e.g. AP Chicago Manual of Style).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with creative teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with SEO and content optimization strategies for digital platforms is a plus.
- Ability to adapt writing styles across different brands and industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write clear persuasive and original copy for various media including websites social media blogs ads and more.
- Interpret creative briefs to develop compelling concepts and ensure the content aligns with the assigned brands voice and objectives.
- Proofread and edited content to ensure grammatical accuracy clarity and consistency adhering to the agencys and clients style guidelines.
- Collaborate with designers account managers and other team members to create cohesive marketing content that resonates with target audiences.
- Conduct thorough research to generate relevant and factual content that reflects brand authenticity.
- Ensure all content adheres to SEO best practices and is optimized for digital platforms where applicable.
- Stay uptodate with industry trends consumer preferences and emerging platforms to produce a relevant and engaging copy.
- Maintain familiarity with standard style guides (AP Chicago Manual of Style or other relevant guides) to ensure all content meets high standards of quality and consistency.
- Manage multiple writing projects and meet tight deadlines while maintaining content excellence.
