Job Description

We are Una a missiondriven company tackling the everincreasing burden of metabolic disease.

We are combining the latest medical research data science biosensor technology and humancentered design to enable sustainable behaviour change and improve health outcomes.

We have created the first medicalgrade digital therapy that sustainably solves metabolic dysfunction.

We are backed by excellent investors such as Atlantic Food Labs PeakBridge Plug and Play and DART Labs and angels such as the founders of mySugr/9amHealth and Ada Health.

We are a fastgrowing team. You will be joining us at a hugely exciting time as we have just launched our fullyreimbursed solution to 9 million people living with type 2 diabetes in Germany. There will be opportunities to shape the direction of the company from the start.

Note: The role requires you to be based in Berlin but is remotefirst.

Tasks

Working closely with our data science lead you will help us answer analytical questions from other parts of the company like product or sales. You create reports charts and dashboards but also the data models to back them up. Working remotely you are ready to hit the ground running as we drive towards productmarket fit by layering in functionality that improves the health of people living with diabetes. You are comfortable getting your hands on code expanding your skill set and explaining technical terms well. You enjoy brainstorming and are up for getting involved across the product development cycle. Most importantly you are motivated by the potential to improve the health of some of the millions of people that live with metabolic illnesses such as diabetes.

Requirements

Must have skills

  • Experience with SQL (you know how to use CTEs different kinds of joins)
  • Good understanding of probability and statistics (you can use Bayes Theorem to solve a business question define what population should be used to run a test)
  • Experience with Git (you know how to create branches pull requests)
  • Some experience with Python or another programming language
  • Ability to work in a team which focuses on knowledge sharing learning and mentoring
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Are comfortable working in a fastpaced environment where priorities can (and do) shift from time to time

Desirable

  • Some exposure to bash scripting
  • Knowledge of HTTP requests and REST APIs
  • Experience with Metabase or similar dashboarding tool (e.g. Tableau Periscope)
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g. SQLite DuckDB PostgreSQL)
  • Familiarity with agile software development
  • Interest in growing your skill set
