Location: Lisbon Portugal (Hybrid once per week onsite)
The Challenge:
You will join a dynamic team responsible for developing and maintaining a robust API ecosystem contributing to a groundbreaking platform that controls software updates between vehicle products and backend infrastructure. This platform ensures security and compliance for overtheair (OTA) updates across the entire vehicle lifecycle.
You will face the challenge of building highly scalable distributed backend systems in an IoT ecosystem where the complexity of integration cloud computing and security is a daily reality. Youll also have the opportunity to lead architectural discussions and implement solutions that shape the future of the connected mobility industry.
Your Responsibilities:
- Architect Develop and Scale backend microservices using Java 17 with spring boot and/or Kotlin ensuring seamless integration within the IoT platform.
- API Ecosystem: Build test and maintain RESTful APIs focusing on performance security and scalability.
- Cloud Integration: Design deploy and maintain services on AWS (or Azure) implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation CDK).
- DevOps & CI/CD: Design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline development and deployment processes.
- Collaborate and Lead: Participate in crossteam discussions sharing best practices and contributing to technical architecture decisions in an eventdriven environment.
- Innovation: Engage in continuous improvement pushing boundaries on backend development to optimize system performance and security.
What Were Looking For:
- Proven Experience: 8 years in software engineering with a strong background in Java (Spring Boot) and/or Kotlin development. TypeScript is a plus.
- Cloud Expertise: Handson experience deploying and maintaining solutions on AWS and/or Azure with a solid understanding of cloudnative architectures.
- API & Integration Mastery: Expertise in building and maintaining RESTful APIs and working within eventdriven architectures using tools such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- DevOps Knowledge: Experience with CI/CD pipelines containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform CloudFormation or CDK).
- Agile Environment: Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Problem Solver: A pragmatic approach to complex problemsolving with a focus on performance scalability and innovation.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset able to mentor junior colleagues and work closely with crossfunctional teams.
- Fluent English: Minimum B2 English level for seamless communication in a global team.
