Job Description
Job Title: .Net Developer (C#/JavaScript)
Location: Galway minimum of 2 days a week onsite
Contract / Permanent: FTC 12 Months With further extension
Start date: 16th December 2024
Role:
There is currently a need for one .Net Software Developer to develop .Netbased software in support of scientific services provided by the Client. The Software Developer will input through the full cycle from requirements gathering through to software build and deployment and delivery to the customer. Technologies used to develop include .NET C# MVC JavaScript with SQL Server 2019 Azure DevOps.
Experience Level Required:
It is a mandatory requirement that the Resource proposed has the equivalent of Senior level experience (i.e. has 7 years experience) in this role.
It is a mandatory requirement that the Resource proposed hold the following qualifications or equivalents: A Computer Science or relevant IT qualification with strong software element (equivalent to Irish National Framework of Qualifications level 6 or higher);
Key Deliverable:
The following nonexhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role.
1. Design and develop software systems based on MVC.Net and SQL Server;
2. Reporting to daily scrum;
3. User requirements definition and communication with internal clients;
4. Design and development of new software functionality;
5. Maintenance of software using the .Net framework including MVC.Net ASP.Net C# JavaScript Angular JS LINQ JQuery SQL Server and Azure DevOps;
6. Integration of code testing and continuous delivery;
7. Providing input to project plans and status reports.
Requirements
Key Experience/Competencies/Skillsets:
The following Experience/Competencies/Skillsets are applicable to this Role.
.Net Software Development
Four years experience of developing software applications based on the Microsoft .Net Core C# MVC.Net with SQL Server database development (stored procedures triggers) in an Agile development environment.
Software Development Process
16 Four years experience of working with a structured software development processes including code testing frameworks e.g. xUnit.net and continuous delivery tools and source code management using Azure Devops TFS or GitHub.
Requirements Analysis and Software Design
.Net Software Development Four years experience of developing software applications based on the Microsoft .Net Core, C#, MVC.Net, with SQL Server database development (stored procedures, triggers), in an Agile development environment. Software Development Process 16 Four years experience of working with a structured software development processes, including code testing frameworks e.g. xUnit.net, and continuous delivery tools and source code management using Azure Devops, TFS or GitHub. Requirements Analysis and Software Design Experience with developing user requirements for new software functionality including through user stories and converting requirements into software designs. Experience with delivery of software for ISO or similar quality-accredited environments.
