Description of Assignment:
Work in an Agile team to support the Deployment Management team in the following tasks:
- Use mainframe TSO to set up and test JCLs
- Work with Linux z/OS and support bash shell scripting
- Assist with creation of transmittals for code promotion to Endevor environment
- Support Java development and testing activities leveraging Eclipse IDE and Maven build processes
- Perform and support code merges using source code control systems
- Review and Analyze Deployment Documentation
- Participate in walkthroughs/meetings/reviews/coordination efforts
- Provide individual status in Daily Scrum Calls for assigned work items
- Record outputs and statuses in EWM
- Troubleshoot Java deployment issues
- Perform Tier 2 to Tier 1 move via Ansible
- Collaborate with team to identify improvements to existing Deployment Management processes.
Requirements
Staff resource skillsets should include:
- Active IRS MBI clearance preferable
- A minimum of 3 8* years collective application software deployment management.
- Bachelor s Degree or above preferred. More experience is required for nondegreed candidates.
- Experience with mainframe TSO JCL
- Handson experience with Linux z/OS bash shell scripting
- Hands on experience with Endevor REXX JCL development
- Ability to develop and test Java within Eclipse IDE and Maven
- Ability to perform code merging activities using source code control systems
- Prior experience working on Agile teams
- Demonstrated ability to seek out information (proactive learning)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team
- Experience with legacy IRS Masterfile (IMF or BMF) and or CADE2 is a plus
- Exposure to legacy technologies such as ALC is a plus
- Familiarity with workload automation tools such as ControlM is a plus
- Experience with using Ansible
- Ability to use ServiceNow and following the change management processes
- Understanding and functioning knowledge of RQM is a plus
- Ability to use EWM and Jenkins to build Jars
