Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our dynamic team. As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual narrative of our content, collaborating closely with directors, producers, and other team members to produce high-quality videos for various platforms, including social media, websites, and television.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Editing and Post-Production:

   • Edit raw footage into polished videos, ensuring a seamless flow and engaging storytelling.
   • Incorporate graphics, music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance the overall quality of the content.
   • Color grade and correct footage to ensure visual consistency and appeal.

2. Collaboration:

   • Work closely with directors and producers to understand project goals and creative vision.
   • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas and concepts for video content.
   • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment throughout the editing process.

3. Technical Proficiency:

   • Utilize industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
   • Stay updated on the latest editing trends, tools, and techniques to enhance workflow and output quality.
   • Manage video files and archives efficiently, ensuring easy access and organization.

4. Project Management:

   • Handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
   • Provide regular updates on project progress to team members and stakeholders.
   • Revise edits based on feedback from clients and team members, ensuring satisfaction with the final product.

5. Quality Control:

   • Conduct thorough reviews of edited videos for accuracy, quality, and adherence to branding guidelines.
   • Ensure all content meets legal and copyright regulations.
   • Implement and maintain best practices for video editing and file management.

Desired candidate profile

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Multimedia Arts, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects.
• Proficient in video editing software and tools; familiarity with motion graphics is a plus.
• Strong understanding of video production processes, including pre-production, shooting, and post-production.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
