Career Medical Officer Obs and Gynae $140,609 to $209,516 base salary 11.5% superannuation applicable allowance As a Career Medical Officer, you will be a collaborative clinical specialist with demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional and safe healthcare. You will a critical member of the O&G Team and contribute to a progressive service.
It is expected that you are a registered medical practitioner; and has had
at least three years post graduate experience in public hospital service.
You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to interact sensitively and holistically with women experiencing complex pain. You will be required to work as a member of the multidisciplinary team with proven experience to develop and maintain credible, respectful and collaborative professional relationships. You will also bring specialised clinical capabilities to contribute to research opportunities within this field and cultivate a positive workplace culture.
Senior Career Medical Officer Obs and Gynae $225,594 to $242,117 base salary 11.5% superannuation applicable allowances To be successful in this position, it is expected that the successful candidate will have the following attributes:
- Relevant registration or be eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Career Medical Officer or equivalent
- Proven performance in both undergraduate and postgraduate general practice education is mandatory.
- The successful applicant will need to be available for occasional weekend and after-hours work.
As a Senior Career Medical Officer, you will be a collaborative clinical specialist with demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional and safe healthcare. You will be a critical member of the O&G Team and contribute to a progressive service.
It is expected that you will have breadth of relevant experience including at least level 5 competence in operative gynaecology, gynaecological oncology experience, colposcopy, placenta Accreta Spectrum role in multidisciplinary team and intrapartum Obstetric management and deliver teaching in level 6 hospital setting.
You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to interact sensitively and holistically with women experiencing complex pain. You will be required to work as a member of the multidisciplinary team with proven experience to develop and maintain credible, respectful and collaborative professional relationships. You will also bring specialised clinical capabilities to contribute to research opportunities within this field and cultivate a positive workplace culture.
Duties Under limited direction of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Medical Unit Director you will perform the following roles. You will:
- Provide specialised Obstetrics and Gynaecology services within a multidisciplinary gynaecological oncology service that spans outpatient clinics, provide inpatient care for patients admitted.
- Teach and supervise Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees and Medical students where necessary.
- Liaise and collaborate with medical practitioner, voluntary and government agencies concerned with Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Participate in clinical governance and quality and safety activities and as a medical representative of the Division as required.
- Research which includes educational research related to the discipline of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and contribution to the research output of the Unit.
- Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the organisation.
