Our client is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to develop new business directly with restaurants hotels motels casinos country clubs restaurant chains convention centers and corporate businesses. The ideal candidate should have experience in wholesale seafood or meats and be familiar with wholesale food distribution targeting restaurants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing relationships with commercial kitchens (restaurants casinos municipalities food trucks etc.).
- Prospecting new business setting appointments and consulting on menu selections.
- The candidate will not inherit a book of business but will focus on capturing market share primarily from competitors like Pacific Seafood.
- This position covers Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho (within 200 miles of Spokane) and the candidate must live within 100 miles of the Spokane office.
- Firstyear compensation will match current income (for those coming directly from competitors) with a transition to fully commissionbased pay within 1218 months. The commission split is 12% of gross profit.
Salary/Structure:
- Base Salary: $60K $90K
- OTE: Variable based on commission after the first year.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in prospecting setting appointments and closing sales with restaurants hotels casinos country clubs and corporate/commercial kitchens.
- Specific experience in wholesale seafood or meats is preferred.
- Must be comfortable with a hunting role developing new business without inheriting a book of business.
- Territory covers Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho with candidates reporting to the Spokane office on Mondays and Fridays.
