SmartLynx Airlines is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Base Maintenance Technical Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical followup of maintenance checks providing onsite support and ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role involves supervising contracted maintenance providers attending daily production meetings and ensuring effective communication between all teams involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the technical followup of maintenance checks.
- Provide onsite support at the station where base maintenance is being performed.
- Supervise contracted maintenance providers/suppliers.
- Attend MRO production daily meetings and provide daily reports to the SmartLynx Airlines Technical Team.
- Ensure all tasks are on track to ensure aircraft compliance with planned Turnaround Time (TAT).
- Control costs associated with assigned base maintenance checks.
- Encourage clear communication between all SmartLynx teams and maintenance providers to resolve possible conflicts.
- Ensure agreed Man Hours (MH) and materials are adequate for defect rectification.
- Conduct random documentation and defect rectification quality checks.
- Ensure all findings are clearly recorded and reported.
- Ensure all structural repairs are performed in accordance with the Structural Repair Manual (SRM) or as per the Airbus Instructions Bulletin (AIB).
- Verify that additional manhours raised are genuinely out of the scope of the check.
- Complete and sign Aircraft Delivery Certificates prepared by the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organization.
- Update Maintenance Control Center (MCC)/Software Tracking Program (STP) against all remaining open Minimum Equipment List (MEL) items after the check.
- Analyze the outcome of each base maintenance event and propose mitigating actions.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Base Maintenance Project Coordinator.
Requirements:
- Part 66 license OR Technical/Engineering degree.
- Extensive knowledge of base maintenance activities and processes.
- Strong people management skills.
- Ability to work under stressful and challenging environments.
- Agile and adaptive to changes.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Fluent in English.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
