ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for timely and accurate billing accounts receivable maintenance cash receipts general ledger reconciliation bank reconciliations maintenance of fixed assets processing potential resident financial scenarios and assisting with monthend process. Provides excellent internal and external customer service.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Process billings in a timely manner.
Accurately calculate billings.
Communicate effectively with residents regarding billing questions.
Post cash receipts accurately and timely.
Post adjustments when approved by Controller.
Verify general ledger balances and ensure accuracy of accounts receivable subledgers and associated aging reports.
Add/Delete fixed assets as directed by Controller.
Balance general ledger to subledger on a monthly basis.
Assign correct life/depreciation method to asset.
Verify prospects’ information.
Enter information into FinAid and analyze conclusions provided by program.
Deliver results with FinAid scenarios to Controller.
Maintains HIPAA privacy rule to assure resident rights are protected maintaining confidentiality as necessary.
Ensures that all people are treated fairly with kindness dignity and respect.
Assures that all peoples’ rights to fair and equitable treatment selfdetermination individuality privacy property and civil rights including the right to register complaints are well established and maintained at all times within the administrative guidelines.
Reports all incidents of resident abuse immediately and according to mandated reporting laws.
Accommodates residents’ needs through responding appropriately to residents’ verbal/nonverbal expression of needs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
A Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred. Relevant education and/or experience will be considered.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting asset maintenance account reconciliations auditing AR and AP is preferred. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail are required to be successful.
Knowledge of GAAP and other general accounting competencies including how to reconcile various items to the general ledger.
