Job Description:
Autonomy Staffing is looking for a reliable and experienced CDL Driver to join our team in Charleston SC. The ideal candidate will have a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and a clean driving record. You will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods and materials to various locations while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial vehicles including trucks and trailers for the transportation of goods.
- Perform pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections to ensure safety.
- Safely load transport and unload materials at designated locations.
- Maintain accurate records of routes deliveries and mileage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers customers and management regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL (Class A or B) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a CDL driver.
- Ability to drive long distances and work flexible hours including weekends.
- Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations (DOT).
- Physical ability to load/unload cargo and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Hours:
- Fulltime with flexible hours. May require weekend and overnight shifts.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage or salary with the opportunity for overtime.
