Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Identification, planning and close follow-up the reservoir surveillance plans.
  • Identification and follow-up of reservoir management activities to maximize production, voidage replacement improvement, and reduce the production decline rates
  • Perform simulation and special studies related to well performance improvement initiatives
  • Propose and mature digitalization effort in RMO to improve reservoir management practices and/or efficiency of the team
  • Use of IX and 4D Seismic to identify optimum zonal shifting and injection to increase sweep efficiency
  • Use of segmented well modelling (IX) both in Full Field and Single Well Models to optimize and design re-drill wells
  • Perform simulation and models history match and share learnings with Development and Growth teams
  • Opportunities identification and maturation to FID (RD Workovers, Tubing Change-outs, Integrity WO, Stimulation...) for production and injection improvements in collaboration with Field Operations, Drilling & Wells, and New Well Delivery Teams
  • Timely generation of monthly unconstrained profiles for short term production forecast (Rolling Forecast)
  • Perform new wells and work-overs post-mortem synthesis in collaboration with New Well Delivery, and Reservoir Development & Growth Teams
  • Perform detailed Wells & Well Patterns reviews, and identify remedial actions
  • WAG cycles optimization, execution, and follow-up
  • Support the Integrated Reservoir Management team within RMO unit on the cross reservoirs’ activities and studies
  • Support Well Performance Teams for day-to-day and short-term production / injection optimization
  • 1. Reservoir Characterization

  • Data Analysis: Analyze geological and petrophysical data to understand reservoir properties, including porosity, permeability, and fluid characteristics.
  • Modeling: Create reservoir models using simulation software to predict reservoir behavior under various production scenarios.
  • 2. Production Optimization

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor reservoir performance and production rates to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Enhanced Recovery Techniques: Develop and implement enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods, such as water flooding or gas injection, to maximize extraction.
  • 3. Reservoir Management

  • Development Planning: Design and recommend development plans that optimize resource recovery and minimize costs.
  • Forecasting: Prepare production forecasts and reserve estimates based on reservoir performance and operational strategies.
  • 4. Economic Evaluation

  • Cost Analysis: Evaluate the economic feasibility of development projects, considering capital and operational costs.
  • Investment Recommendations: Provide recommendations for investments in new technologies or infrastructure to enhance production.
